Event
Join us to celebrate 20 years of the Places & Spaces: Mapping Science exhibit. Since the exhibit is a
global effort—featuring the work and insights from map and macroscope makers from around the world,
which have been on display at over 466 venues in 30 countries on 6 continents—we would like to have
experts and others from around the globe celebrate the exhibit with us. Speakers from institutions
around the world will join us online to reflect on the future of science and technology and interactive
visualizations of relevant data.
Macroscopes are well suited to addressing global challenges They can provide a planetary perspective,
showcasing large and complex data sets. To flourish in the future, we must recognize that all fates are
connected. Macroscopes with a global perspective can reinforce this point of view and help us chart a
path into the future.
